The Gordon Parks Celebration honors Parks’ life and legacy during this three-day event. Attendees are treated to speakers and “lunch and learn” events featuring those who knew Gordon, the arts such as photographers, film producers, authors, civil rights, and other areas. Live music and other entertainment. Photography exhibits and film screenings. Guided Trolley tour of The Learning Tree Film Scene Sign Trail, the autobiographical film Parks wrote and directed in and around Fort Scott. Choice of Weapons and The Learning Tree Honoree Awards Gala. Gordon Parks boyhood home, his final resting place, and more.
