The abandoned Mayhew Cemetery was active from about 1868 -1937. The Mayhew is located
in Fort Scott, KS. There are no tombstones to mark the graves of at least 176 early Fort Scott
and Bourbon County citizens buried there. Shirley Hurd and Ann Rawlins are both members and
researchers for the Old Fort Genealogy Society in Fort Scott, KS.
