The inaugural Christmas on the Bricks event will be held the first weekend of December, November 30th to December 3rd, 2023 in Fort Scott’s Downtown Historic District! If you like the holidays, you’re going to love Christmas on the Bricks! The event includes many fun family-friendly activities.
Thursday, 6 PM Historic Downtown Fort Scott – Candyland Christmas Parade followed by lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree, fireworks, pictures with Santa & Christmas Crafts.
Friday 5-8 PM and Saturday 12-2 PM and 5-8 PM Pictures with Santa at Be the Light Boutique, 12 N. Main St. Tell Santa your Christmas wish and take free pictures with your own camera with a beautiful festive backdrop!
Friday 5-9 PM, Saturday 10 AM-9 PM, Sunday 12-5 PM The Artificers– 8 N. National Avenue. The Artificers 7th Annual Christmas Art Show includes a variety of artists and mediums. Get a start on your holiday shopping with unique one-of-a-kind gifts.
Friday and Saturday, 5-8 PM Stores Open Late for Shopping as part of Christmas on the Bricks! You’ll find a variety of unique stores and gift ideas in the Fort Scott historic downtown district.
Friday and Saturday, 5:30-8:30 PM Live Nativity by Bethel Church, 102 S. Scott Ave. Each set will start on the half hour and lasts 15 minutes, the last set will start at 8pm.
Friday and Saturday, 6-10 PM Firepits with S’mores on Skubitz Plaza, 1 Old Fort Blvd. Individual S’more kits available for donation or minimum of $1 per kit. Proceeds go to local Boy Scouts troop!
Friday, 6-10 PM and Saturday, 12 noon-10 PM Holiday Market Booths – Located on the north side of Wall St. between Main St. and National Ave. Browse unique holiday items and festive hot cider!
Friday 5-8pm, Saturday 10 AM-2 PM First United Methodist Church, 301 S. National Ave. Nativity Showcase – View unique nativity displays from parishioners, community members, and more!
Friday & Saturday, 6-10 PM Horse-drawn Carriage Rides – Rides depart from the Depot at Wall St. & Scott Ave. (1 S. Scott Ave.)
every 20 minutes. Each ride lasts up to 20 minutes, traveling through the Downtown Historic District. Pre-paid registration required, $40 per carriage reservation for up to 4 people.
Friday 11am-2pm & Saturday 10am-2pm on the hour – Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center, 231 E. Wall St. 50-minute narrated Historic Holiday Trolley Tours around Fort Scott.
Saturday, 10 AM Gingerbread House Decorating Contest – Brickstreet BBQ, 3 W. Oak St. $15 entry covers the cost of your team’s gingerbread kit. Up to 2 people per team.
Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM Candy Land Adventure Museum of Creativity, 102 S. National Ave. Experience the 1st annual Candy Land Adventure in real life! Includes a treat from the cakewalk inside Candy Castle. $5.00/ person. Ticket info at www.fortscott.com/events.
