Join us for the Annual Fort Scott Veterans Day Celebration honoring our American Heroes!

Fort Scott Veterans Celebration Events:

Friday, November 11:
  • American Legion Parade- Gather friends and family to cheer for our veterans! The parade will travel from Memorial Hall in historic downtown, by school and end at the Fort Scott U.S. National Cemetery #1. Parade starts at 10AM. Exact route will be announced the week prior.
  • Veterans Day Ceremony – 11:00 AM at National Cemetery #1 – All veterans, active duty and public are welcome to attend this event.
  • Luncheon directly after Veterans Day Ceremony at VFW Post 1165 (1745 S National)
  • Memorials and Monuments Trolley Tour – Friday, November 11 – Military monuments and memorials will be featured on this trolley tour in historic Fort Scott at 2 PM, departing from the Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center. Open to the public, veterans FREE!
  • Military Meet and Mingle at the VFW Post (1745 S National) – Veterans and active duty, plus family and friends will have the opportunity to meet and mingle from 5-7 PM. Open to the public
Saturday, November 12:
  • Veterans Day 5k Fun Run – The Veterans 5k is Saturday, November 12 at 8 AM. Includes a competitive 5k Run, a Family Fun 5k Run/Walk, or a 10k Challenge (3.2k Run, 1.8k Row and 5k Bike).
